Rebecca F. John
Rebecca F. John

Born in South Wales in 1986, Rebecca decided she wanted to be a writer at the age of 10 when she read Philip Pullman's 'Northern Lights'. She completed her degree in English in Creative Writing in summer 2011, and will begin studying for an MA in Creative Writing in September. In 2011 she was named the recipient of The Jones Prize, and as a result will have her collection of short stories, 'Clown's Shoes', published in October or November. Her stories will also appear in three anthologies this year, and her novel – title as yet undecided – is approaching completion. Rebecca's writing is largely concerned with people, and is definitely not concerned with politics. When not writing, she loves to ski, and has worked as an instructor for the last seven years. She also enjoys playing music and painting.
